From Wikipedia:

In Greek mythology, the Lernaean Hydra was an ancient nameless serpent-like chthonic water beast that possessed numerous heads and poisonous breath. The Hydra of Lerna was killed by Heracles as one of his Twelve Labours.

Floats: The Hydra

While others like to take credit for building this masterpiece, it was Mardi Gras Decorators that created The Hydra for the Krewe of Caesar.

This is a magnificent two-part tandem float with seven fully animated fiberglass dragon heads that come to life using pneumatics and fiber optics.

From preliminary design to final build, our team developed and constructed The Hydra  completely in-house.

The final product is a signature float. The Hydra float has become a staple of the Krewe of Caesar, and will be for many Mardi Gras celebrations to come.
